Are you looking for the biggest Cherry Valley duck available? The Cherry Valleys are bred for size! Males can grow to 10+ pounds and females to 8.5+ pounds in just 12 weeks! 

Cherry Valley are raised commercially, and when they are, breeders take both size and egg production into consideration. Usually, the males in a commercial production situation are big, while the females are a bit smaller but excellent egg producers.

In the breeding of Cherry Valleys, however, both the parents are chosen for size, producing consistently large Cherry Valley chicks. If you want a large duck for meat purposes, the Cherry Valley is an excellent choice.

While this strain of Cherry Valley makes a fantastic farm yard or back yard duck, either for meat or as a pet, it is not a show breed. If you are want to show your ducks competitively, the Cherry Valley is not a good choice.
